meet dina. this russian beauty has been in columbus since she has been in the states, seven years that is. she was abandoned when she was born, her birth mother was a hooker and well she didn't want a child so left her in the emergency room in a moscow hospital. for eleven years she called an orphanage home until she was adopted by a wealthy american family who made moscow their home until she was seventeen, when they moved back to columbus. she was never really popular and a few kids picked on her because of her accent and her naivety about american ways. two years ago she all but lost her parents, her father was arrested and sentenced to ten years in prison for his involvement in a human trafficking ring, after which her mother tried to kill herself and was committed to a mental home. dina turned to stripping to pay the bills and to keep the family home and has been doing so ever since. she isn't a mean person but she isn't really what one would call a nice person, she's somewhere in between. she can be pleasant but she won't necessarily mean it, she can be blunt and she can be bitter if you're boring her or annoying her. she has a caring side to her but it only come out for her close friends and family, since her family is locked away, sort of, she only exhibits this care for her close friends, which probably wouldn't be too many. she isn't the most friendly being in columbus but that doesn't mean that she isn't friendly at all because there are times when she needs a friend, now she won't always admit this but when a friend comes to her aid when she needs them she is very grateful, if they don't it doesn't bother her. now a somewhat bitter russian stripper is bound to have found herself a few enemies. she can be rather feisty when confronted and can actually cause a lot of injury if she gets into a fight. best not to cross her. a lot of guy see her as a stripper and think that she's easy and that they can get a piece without much effort. those usually get a balled up fist to the face. relationships and sex just isn't something she thinks about all that often, though that's not to say that she doesn't partake, because she does. there have been a few one night stands but she hasn't had a proper relationship for quite some time, she was a teen in russia the last time she was considered someone's girl.

meet chris. this boy hails from england, manchester to be most specific. he has been living in america for the past five years and in columbus for the past two. before ohio he lived in the city of new york, that is where he did his paramedic training. he wants nothing more than to return to england but there is one things standing in his way, he can't look his mother in the face after what he did. it was an accident, he hadn't meant to knock the ladder over. he didn't mean to paralyze his father. yep, that's right, he is to blame for the paralyzing of his father. the man was working on the house, around the side the gutter fittings were loose so he was tightening them back up. chris went running along, playing tag with his younger brother and as he rounder the corner of the house his shoulder collided with the ladder and his father came tumbling down, landing back first on a rock. it wasn't long after that when he flew to new york to make a new life for himself, his mother hasn't looked at him the same and they haven't spoken for about four years. he is a sweet guy and because of this he had found himself a decent amount of friends, they put up with his sarcastic nature and his love for comic books and video games, in fact some of them join him in these things. he's fairly laid back but when conflict arises he's right in there, sort of. he'll say everything under the sun but as soon as anything looks to turn physical he's out of there. he doesn't do violence unless it's on television or in a game. some may label him a coward for this, but he doesn't care, he's not fussed what people think about him, he is his own man and he is content with the way he is. he doesn't really have much of a romantic side to his life, that's not to say that he hasn't been there at all, he's had a few girlfriends and a one night stand or two, but it's not the focus of his life. he'd be content with not having a relationship for the rest of his life. no joke, but there is this girl he has his eyes on, we'll have to wait and see how that goes.

meet river. this girl has lived in columbus her entire life, if you leave the three years she spent in new york out of it. new york was a special time for her, it was where she met her beloved, who is now her husband. it was a chance meeting and yeah i'm not going into detail here. she moved back to ohio two years ago after she finished up at the police academy, she missed her family. she has been married for about eight months, it was going strong, but in late september she lost the baby that she was pregnant with. this has put a definite strain on her marriage and her job, she has been recommended a break from work but she is yet to take it. the girl is stubborn yet kind, she won't let anything get in her way and she won't give up on something unless it is a complete lost cause. her job is very important to her because in her eyes she is helping out those who can not help themselves and those that deserve it, as well as ridding the streets of those that ruin them. she is a rather friendly person and she has a fair amount of friends, both from work and other things. she loves to bake and she has taken many classes over the course of the last two years, friends have been made there. she has been known to rub people the wrong way with her stubbornness and has made a few enemies, though she can put on a sweet act around them if need be. when she was younger she was known as a bit of a slut, when she moved to new york  that part of her died because she met a man and fell in love. there have been many past flings and one night stands up until about five years ago.

meet mel. this tiny thing hails from the city of chicago but has been in columbus for the last ten years, yep that's right she's been here since she was twelve. throughout her teen life she made the five and a half hour drive back to chicago to visit her mother whom she loves dearly. you see he parents split and the court ordered that she live with her father who was moving to columbus. one would think that she'd have moved back to chicago once she was old enough to do so, nope she found herself a group of friends and a place at the ohio state universtiy doing what she wanted and decided to stay. she still visits her mother though, at least once a month she makes the trip back there for the weekend. obviously friendship is something that she values dearly, she adores her friends and would do almost anything for them. she is a sweet and caring being and wouldn't harm a living soul unless they deserved it. she can be sarcastic at times but then who can't. this sarcasm has been known to piss some people off though, of course, but those people aren't something that she thinks about much any more. she doesn't like to annoy people and when she does it upset her. she'll do her best to make it up to them but it doesn't always work. she tries her best not to make enemies, she doesn't want them she wants to be a nice person who is liked by everyone but everyone has someone who doesn't like them. she is rather traditional, in a way, when it comes to relationship and will always wait for the boy to make the first move. she has never had a one night stand in her life but she has had one serious relationship. she was fifteen at the time, they dated for three years before he moved away and left her. she hasn't dated since.

meet carl. please don't call him carlos unless you're one of his close friends and there aren't many of those. he has lived here in columbus all his life, he's never really been anywhere else, he doesn't see the point in leaving when he's more than content with this city. he hasn't had a very pleasant past, he was seven when his father was murdered in front of him and then his mother died in a car accident when he was nineteen. his younger brother was shot in the following year and now it's just him and his sister left, at least of the immediate family, he has an uncle in the city too but he doesn't talk to him. he dropped out of high school when he was seventeen and has been working on cars since he was twelve, it was only a given that he was going to become a mechanic. he isn't all that easy to get along with, he can be blunt and uncaring. he does care, sometimes, though he would rather shrug everything off and go back to his beer and his women. he isn't friendly though he has a few friends that he would consider close to him, mostly he drinks and shares complaints about certain things with them. his social life isn't the best out there but he's content with it. he's not the biggest fan of people unless he can drink with them or sleep with them. over the years he has found himself a lot of enemies, he's gotten into a great deal of fights, there are so many reasons for them too ranging from him simply calling another man a name to him sleeping with some guy's girl and said guy not being too happy about it. he has found himself in the company of many different women over the years, he doesn't really care who you are, if you're taken or much else, as long as you're female and moderately attractive he'll want a piece of you. serious relationships are not his thing though, he has some major commitment issues and in his mind he will never settle down, can we change that?

meet oli. this boy does not intend to stay here, in fact he doesn't even want to be here at all. his mother got him a job working for her sister, his aunt. she's a teacher and she wanted an assistant, apparently oli was the right fit for the job, that or she wanted him to cut down on all his activities. not that columbus is going to do that. he was born into a rich family in la, he grew up with money and he's going to die with money. maybe he abuses his wealth a little, treating women to fancy hotel rooms instead of taking them back to his aunt's house, where he is staying. he'd also rather not be staying there but it was insisted and he gave in. really he's not so good at saying no to his family, even if he doesn't see them often. he's not that bad of a guy really, yes he is a player and that will always find him some enemies but he always makes friends too, even with the girls. he's quite the social being, he actually goes out of his way to befriend people, or at least to strike up a conversation with them. people always love a rich guy right? he's not shy about his money, he flaunts it in many ways from buying expensive things just for the hell of it or paying for things with large notes. now he is a bit of a player, he will sweet talk a girl, lie his ass off to her just to get her in bed, only to leave her in the morning or as soon as she falls asleep. but he is a nice guy, really. he'll help someone out of they need it, at least to the best of his ability. he doesn't want to be tied down here so he has all the reason to leave when he's finished up with his aunt, which probably won't be until school is out.
